St. Louis CardinalsThe “Play Like A Cardinal” campaign captured the attention of fans and players alike, generating an invaluable fresh buzz around the team. The campaign was a driving force in helping the franchise surpass ticket sales projections three seasons in a row, and set the franchise record for tickets sold in 2008.
“Play Like A Cardinal” was created at Waylon Ad when Mark and writer Jake Edinger were charged with re-branding this epic franchise. The campaign was developed and produced under Creative Director Joe Leahy with additional writing talents provided by Nate Kneezel in later seasons.
Mark’s contribution to the work includes all art direction and photography resulting in television commrercials, outdoor, print, collateral, direct mail, in-stadium signage and video, online advertising, ticket design and photography for several seasons. The television spots were directed by Tim Kendall, Drive Thru.
